We had an eventful first week of apartment renovations!Monday the old parquet floor and baseboards were removed.
Tuesday the kitchen wall, most of the old kitchen cabinets and half of the bathroom was demolished, and we found a second tile floor.
Thursday we met with the contractor to go over the new kitchen plan. The kitchen demolition was finished, the shower rough plumbing was removed and the plywood sub floor was put down.
Next week: we'll look at the cabinet plan and the plumbing and electric work will start. Keep checking for updates this week!

ReplyDeleteSurprised to find out Owen is 6 years old. I hoped this meant Sacha is 12 or 15. Imagine my shock and chagrin to find out from Grandpa (Gorgo) the cute little bitch is only three. I think Owen's blogs are cleverer and less whiny than Sacha's. Beware of substitutions. Gibby
ReplyDeleteOwen- it was so nice to see you this weekend! I got to see all the materials that will be used in the kitchen and bathroom renovations, and even got to help pick out a new chandelier for the kitchen. I can't wait to see the apartment when it's all done!
