Week Five, Day Two

The bathroom tiling is finally finished! Today they put up the remaining bathroom marble and finished grouting between the marble tiles. Hopefully in another day or two they will install the vanity, medicine cabinet and toilet.

The pencil trim around the bathroom doorway turned out perfectly - it looks like an extension of the door frame. Once the door frame and door are repainted, it will look even better. Mom and Dad are very happy with the way the bathroom is turning out so far.

They also put the finishing touches on the bedroom baseboards today. The nail holes were filled and the space between the baseboards and the walls were caulked. I like to go inside the closet and sniff around so I will have to go back soon and check out all the new floors and baseboards in the closets.

Since the bathroom tile work is done, they were also able to remove the wet saw from the middle of the living room. That means that tomorrow they will start installing the maple flooring in the rest of the apartment! Here they've started to lay out the flooring run. I bet I could find some good hiding spots for my bones before they put the flooring down!
