Week Six, Day One

The kitchen base cabinets were installed today and match the pantry cabinet that was installed on Friday. They look great! As you can see, the pantry one meets with my approval. I fit in it perfectly! Underneath the cabinet in which I am lying is where the hidden drawer will go.

Note the shaker style panel on the end of the cabinet that faces the hall. This is where the wall used to be on the side of the kitchen. I like it much better this way.

The medicine cabinet was also installed today. Two mirrored doors will be attached, and a fixed mirror will be installed on the wall to the right.

Here's the bathroom vanity, which has finally been unboxed, and holes cut in the back and top for the plumbing. Right now it is sitting in Mom's closet. I like to hide things there too (like my bones and toys) so I understand why the workers put it there for safe keeping.

Tomorrow morning Mom and Dad are meeting with the contractors to go over the template for the granite counter tops. After that, it should only take a couple of days to fabricate them!
